Green Man – Summer
Pencil, acrylic and digital composition
An experiment combining traditional media with digital painting. The branches adorning his head call to mind the antlers of the celtic deity Cernunnos and Herne the Hunter, alternative guises of the Green Man. I like the idea that whatever form he takes, there is part of his appearance that still hints at one of his other manifestations.
